I am a second generation Realtor. My father, Don Pro, started his career in 1988 shortly after relocating our family from Walled Lake Michigan to Whatcom County. I learned about the fundamentals of real estate in my early years while touring with Don as he showed properties to his clients. It wasn't long before I got my brokerage license, and formed a partnership that lasted 9 years before he retired.
From him I learned that there are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills, and a high-quality professional network. All of which are hallmarks of how I work in today's profession. In my experience as a real estate professional I have found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.

The Mantra

Client first philosophy is the way I approach everyone I work with, and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. In addition, it has broadened the range of services I provide to all of my clients. For example, I use electronic signature tools that allow clients to review and sign documents from the comfort of their home, or office computer. This technology also works on note books and smart phones so YOU can work on the go. This eliminates facsimiles that waste tremendous amounts of paper and TIME! I strive to make your real estate transaction easy and efficient.

Strengths and Focus

One of my greatest strengths is I am unusually adept at understanding and identifying properties that meet a buyer's specific needs. Perhaps I'm good at it because I listen, ask questions and listen more. Let's talk about your goals and needs so I can better serve you!
Unequivocally I focus on helping a seller to properly position their property to sell even in the toughest of markets. After years of observation, interaction and training in the industry, I am able to help you through every aspect of a real estate transaction. Having closed hundreds of transactions in many different market conditions and sectors; i.e. residential, multi-family, vacant land, and commercial properties, you have the assurance that I will put this knowledge and experience to work for you.

Activities & Community Involvement

I am an avid outdoors man, with skiing and mountain biking at the top of the list. I've been a volunteer ski patroller at Mt. Baker for 10 seasons, and currently working toward my Senior Patroller status. If you're into these sports you've chosen a great place to live for that reason alone. Bellingham offers Galbraith Mountain, a mecca for mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding, while Mt Baker Ski Area set a new record for the most snowfall ever measured in the United States in a single season. They offer some of the best back-country terrain in the world.
While spending time in the outdoors is fun and exciting, it's not nearly as fulfilling as spending time with my wife and our son. We enjoy traveling in our RV exploring the Cascades and Canadian Coastal Mountains whenever possible. I'm also heavily involved with local non-profit organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, Lydia Place, Rebound of Whatcom County and Windermere Community Services.
Community involvement 2014-2016 and beyond; State Representative for Whatcom County Association of Realtors (WCAR), WCAR Board member, National Ski Patrol Volunteer, Mt Baker, VP of Whatcom Falls Neighborhood Association.
It's not always easy to balance family, work, community and play, but after 13 years in the real estate business I think I've got it figured out, and the best part is I really enjoy my life, my clients and my work.
